What would it be like to live debt free? In our society today debt is part of life. This last christmas I remember being at a local department store and seeing a teenager apply for his first credit card. It was so he could buy jewelry for his girlfriend. How fitting I thought. He will probably not have paid it off by the time they break up. What is love if not gifts that are unpaid for. Love is sacrifice, not empty promises. But back onto the subject of living debt free. I want to live free of debt. All kinds of debt, even a mortgage. What kind of life would that be? I have a feeling that it would be very freeing. Debt is a burden, a burden that I am about to be released from. No I am not going to declare bankruptcy. I am for sure not going to "discharge" my debt using false "redemption" theorys comming out of some of the patriot camps. I had a revelation last year that God enables each one of us to pull our own weight. Did you know that two oxen that are yoked together can pull more than the same two if they were pulling together. That is why my family can live on my income alone as well as when I was a single man, working and spending every dime. My wife and I are a team and she is such a strength that we are making it. My son has a mom that spends all day with him. You can not put a price on that. Living by principals. Saying one thing, and living that same way. We are blessed. Well debt is about to be a thing that we leave behind. Making some hard choices but it is worth every pain. In fact it feels really good. I feel like I can take on the world. At least I am taking on the worlds system. I am accountable to God before I am accountable to man. Debt is slavery, but the world says that slavery is freedom. But not for me, not anymore!

So Doug wants me to provide the personal part of myself, complete with a bio. Sorry Doug, I am still working on the Three Rules.

Read this post that I did back in December. Fredrick Douglass ran away, but was almost returned to the south because he had not paid off his former owner. I have no reason to tell the IRS to "please prosecute me." I have asked God to deliver me from egypt and He has been faithful. There is no need for me to tell you all what my address is. I do not wish to be a martyr. The details of what I do for a living are of no consequence to the issues raised on my blog. Maybe like ol Fredrick Douglass I will write myself out the gritty details when I am 80 years old. But for now it is enough that I can say, I am living in the North, no longer reporting to my former masters. Not giving up a dime to fed gov, not signing any W4 with "under duress" or "exempt." And it is only by the grace of God. Not because of any talents that I might have, just leaning on Jesus. Maybe I will have to sign that damned form again. But by the power of God, I hope to stand fast in the freedom that Christ has set me free.

I just had a great talk with a friend about how God leads us down different paths, and we shouldnt fault someone just because they are not following the path that God told me to take. Allen said it well, accepting each man where he is, and at whatever level of knowledge that he is. You see, Allen sounds to me like he lives a life that is closer to Jesus than some of my "christian" friends. No labels there Allen :) Just how it looks from here.

It is great to live in America and have the freedom to say what you want without thugs comming down on your back. At least they dont come down on you right away. I have been keeping up with my blog friends Allen and Doug. As soon as I read that Doug had called Allen an athiest I knew that things might get a little hairy. Glad to see that Allen is not a man that is easily offended. I am not easily offended either. Not bragging, just how I am. And I am not trying to be a hard core christian either, just tring to be myself. And the truth is that everything that I have comes from God. He is teaching me continually by the Holy Spirit, the still small voice. And God uses others to refine me. God uses Allen and He also uses Doug. Funny how that is.

Ok, on to the topic of Copywrites. Of the limited powers that are assigned to the fedgov, copywrites are one of them. Here is a great article on its history here in America from a great man, Peter Kershaw.

In my opinion it is theft to get mp3 music files for free that were not intended to be distributed for free. Same as if a friend burns a copy of a new CD. You can do it, but you are stealing. Even if it is only a $1 from a band. From what I hear Apple has a good thing going with itunes. A buck a song. If you want it, pay the buck.

Or for the Allen Hacker example, he could sell the book for $7 a copy in the printed version, or $1.38 for the online version. And if only 1/4 of the people downloaded it because they had to pay for it, that would have been $13,800 in Allen's pocket. And people appreciate what they pay for.

The founders belived that the only way we could maintain this republic was by self government. Free downloads just because we can, and steal from the artist, is just one way that our lack of self government shows up. It is helping the cause of Big Government to steal. Be a patriot, pay for what you use.

So how would Tim and Nick feel if we stole their music that they just spent six months pouring their lives into? They are selling their CD for just $8. Check out a sample, not my kind of music but I like it. You can tell it wasnt just something that they threw together. Will I buy it? Maybe, if i can get it into the budget. $8.00 will buy 160 diapers.

Fair Tax Act of 2003 (Introduced in House)

I really think this is a bad idea as I have detailed on this site. Like most "solutions" raised by fedgov it only creates even more "ties" and restrictions on free trade, as in freedom for one business or individual to trade with another. Freedom means not having to report to a fedgov, or apply for your monthly check from the treasury.

Now jump to the future, 20 years. How well will information be able to be processed? How easy will it be for TIA and any future agency to "audit" and declare that someone is not in compliance.

This bill will move us closer to what some call the age of the beast. Needing a number to buy or sell. At least it will get us closer to the mindset that it is ok to be required to register with fedgov in order to be a seller.

Not in my country! And I will never comply with such a law. I would be forced to grow my own food.

REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES BEFORE TAXES

We would no longer have a way of witholding our money until we get an answer from fedgov. In order to live free you would need to use the underground economy.

I can see the headline now, "Man is caught buying eggs from a neighboring farm that is not registered as an authorized seller."

I am enjoying the discussion over at the Claire Files on Mindset. I also just started a book by L Niel Smith, The Probability Broach. So last night I had the coolest dream about freedom. My mind was free to dream of a world that was free and I woke up with the realization that if we all just decided to wake up one morning and say that we will no longer put up with tyrany in any form, it would melt away. That may sound obvious but it really impacted me because I had just dreamed such a cool dream! It was so vivid and clear. I am holding onto that one.

It comes down to the money. People are easily controled over a few hundred dollars a year.

If they can realize that

1. There is no law requiring a child or an adult that was born in this country to have SSN to live or work.

2. Without a common numeric indicator there is no way for FedGov to keep up with the info.

3. Without being able to keep track of the inventory, there is no way to enforce the income tax in the information age.

Which brings us to the Fair Tax. It is the next step of FedGov and it is being pushed for hard. And it is being pushed by the "conservatives". But the fair Tax requires the use of SSN for every member of your family in order to receive your monthly Family Consumption Allowance. A monthly check from the FedGov to every family in the nation, now that is control.

But I would have thought this was a good idea 2 years ago. It all comes back to mindset.

I went ahead and ran the numbers, here is what the monthly checks would be per family in 48 Contiguous States and D.C

1 = $ 8,980 = $748.33 a month, 23% is the tax, Prebate would be $172.11 a month

2 = $ 12,120 = $1010 a month, Prebate would be $232.30 a month

3 = $ 15,260 = $1271.66 a month, Prebate $292.48 a month

4 = $ 18,400 = $1533.33 a month, Prebate $352.66 a month

I just noticed that there is a "marriage penalty" included.

Looking into what Pax Americana is and came across this site which lead me to this. Why not just change our name to Oceania and get it over with! I thought that Pax Americana was a name that the left called NeoCons but The Project for the New American Century uses the term with pride. As I was reading this from Patrick and it seems like something the left would write as a parody. But it really is them.

I had a short dialoge with Tim about the Fair Tax via e-mail. It is good to see where others are comming from. I will be going into more on the Fair tax because I really believe that it is such a bad idea. But I am not afraid of dialoge. Walter Burien on the other hand does not seem willing to dialoge with Allen Hacker about anything. He sounded like a spoiled little kid. Allen presented what I thought was a clear explanation and poor Walter just whined about a diatribe. The truth is that it takes more than complaining to present clear thought. Allen, one day we will see government restored to a free republic once more, and it will need leaders, not whiners.

Allen, there are so many wacky patriot theorys running around. Would you please address any of them and give your honest opinions on a weekly basis? I have to agree with Doug, Allen Hacker is a leader. I wonder what his IQ is?

I was not able to hear the interview with this man on Kirby Wilbur's show yesterday morning but here is the news article. The goblin died later after waiting 11 hours to call police. What is not in the story is that the perp had 2 strikes and in Wash State 3 strikes means life in prison without parole. Listen to these quotes by the home owner.

"He didn't stop coming toward me until he was looking down the barrel of a 9 mm," said the 64-year-old homeowner, who didn't want to be identified out of fear for his safety.

"I shot him so that all he had to do was go to the doctor," said the homeowner, who asked not to be identified for his safety. "I didn't shoot him in a critical place. It was over 12 hours that he had to get help."

"I thought he was going to take off, but he turned back around and he said, 'I'm going to get you,'" the homeowner said. "That's when I shot him."

Why can't my rep be more like him? I mean sure she has power, but I want her to stand on principle more. If you look at her without knowing what I know about the tax issue than she is great! In fact I love her! But I have a feeling that she supports the Fair Tax. She sits on the commitee that oversees the IRS. She stated on Kirby's show that big changes are comming, and I doubt that she meant ending confiscitory tax policy.

Apparently the Lew Rockwell Blog does not meet Doug's approval (Doug's permalinks are not working) since it has more that one author. The nature of the blog is that it can be whatever you want it to be. Diversity vs clones. Mix it up Doug. The strength of blogs like Volokh, The Corner, The Command Post and Lew is that they do not rely on one man or woman.
