Verdict in nursing-at-the-wheel case

Prosecutors recommended Donkers be sentenced to 30 days in jail and a $500 fine instead of the maximum one year in jail and $2,000. Judge Donald Martell said he would postpone sentencing to investigate Donkers “because I feel I need to know more about you.”

When this whole thing started we were being told that if she would just plead gulty she would only haveto pay $1000 with no jail time. So no the prosocution is requesting 30 days in jail and $500 fine. She refused a lawyer and represented herself. I find it interesting that the Judge is going to wait to sentence her “because I feel I need to know more about you.” Cant wait to see the final on this one.
